Thursday Assault and Sky Farming, Weekend as a BST to 20, and ToAU 35

Thursday was my usual schedule, Assault static and Sky farming. In Assault I thought we were going to do SM missions, but Galaika didn't get to complete the promotion quest so we did Nyle instead. It was my first run in Nyle and it was fast moving. We had to go through 4 floors to reach the boss, and each floor can be a different type of objective mission. Its all random to see which mission you get for a floor. I'm not exactly sure, but I believe we won 2 out of the 3 runs we did. I still need to do more runs to get the hang of it and understand the details, but it was fun. Sky was next but I had some personal stuff to do in real life before I could go up. Basically I didn't farm because it took much longer to take care of my business then I thought it would. But, I heard we got MG and Despot during the farm session, and when I joined for 40mins or so we got SC on bonus since sky farming was over.

Friday I didn't do much, just level BST from 10 to 14, I plan on working on BST over the weekend to 20 so I can duo Wings of Fury.

Saturday was ToAU 35 with Hach's group. I helped him out with ToAU29 and 31 a week ago, so he invited me to do ToAU 35 with him and his friends. It was easy, but a few people died because Gessho was being a dick. However, looking back I believe the problem was our WHM resting when the RDM diaga the shadows to kite them. So the shadows attack the WHM because of resting, anyways we won, but could have easily wiped.

Sunday was suppose to be Dynamis but no one was on, except for a few people, but they switched off the LS. I can't say I'm surprised because we were having problems since two weeks ago. I'm probably moving to a more stable Dynamis LS, because I like to do some Dynamis instead of waiting and hoping next week would be better. I feel bad though because I've seen other members running with other LSs too. Tomorrow is Assault static, and I'll probably be farming for more money.

Sky Farming, Unlocking New Jobs

Tuesday was sky farming, but before that I decided after a year I would unlock the new jobs! So I flagged COR and PUP quests since they both can be done together. The quests were easy, just run around and look for the ??? for each quest. After I got both quests done I flagged the BLU quest and answered the questions before heading to sky.

Sky farming was depressing, we were low on people and we didn't get any pop items. We wanted to hunt for SC, but we arrived just as it was killed. Then we decided since SC was killed, to go to water because with the people we had and the jobs we had water or SC were the only things we could do.

Today was the same as yesterday, but we did have a better turnout. We missed claim with Despot because we didn't have everyone in the alliance. We had a second chance though because the ls that got Despot were having trouble with it. However we had drama tossed at us because the ls said we were MPKing them and interfering with them kiting. Bottom line is that it was sky drama at its best. When they died another ls got claim and finished Despot off. We then waited until scouts from MG and Zippy to call if either were up. Though when they arrived either were up, and we heard that SC and Faust were killed earlier. So we decided to started hunting for water while waiting for MG. The night was uneventful with no NMs popping for us nor pop items dropping. Tomorrow is sky farming again I believe and I hope we get something this time, but before that its Assault with SM missions.

5th STR and Assault

Sunday I got my 5th STR upgrade because of a nice that day, too bad it ended though. Next I'll probably put more upgrades into Evasion and then start on RNG group 2 upgrades and group 1. We were really short for Dynamis on Sunday so much so it was canceled, I also heard in the ls while waiting for more people to show up for Dynamis was that MI is having troubles. That news made me sad because CK was my first end game shell 1year with them and it was a nice home. The last remnants of CK falling is something I could not believe would happen, I do hope they stick together.

Monday was Assault but before that I got an inv from Landstar so I picked up 2 merits with that party and added an upgrade to Evasion. Assault started off slow because there were no fighting missions. We did S missions Apkallu Breeding x2 and Apkallu Seizure. Apkallu Breeding was easy just matching up the pairs, but Apkallu Seizure was hard because we kept running into each other causing the Apkallus to run off. It would have been easier just having 3 people spread out escort them then all 6 of us running into each other, but hey we still won. Tomorrow is Sky farming but I'm alittle depressed.

I did a quick application for a new HNM ls "Imperial," but I got turned down. I'll get over it, but reading the outcome of my application came hard because I accidentally bought a Evasion torque for 200k instead of 130k, oh well a 70k tip for the seller I guess. I'll add pictures later.

Meriting

Just an update on all the merits I've been getting the past week. Also the parties I've been in, a few had people with relic weapons. First, Winslet, Japanese player with a Maat cap and Spharai. That's the hand-to-hand relic weapon that does Final Heaven WS. It looks cool but yeah most of the dmg is even or a bit lower to Asuran Fists. In the party I got 2 merits finishing up 9 merits for my 4th STR upgrade.

Wednesday after sky I merited for 1 and a half merits, the party was nice just too many people partying where we were so it only lasted a hour. Friday however was a decent party I gained 3 merits but I died like 4 times. I would have gotten 4 merits if I didn't die 4 times, but hey I'm helping out THFs get merits.

Today I got an invite from Dynamis, he is a cool guy and his parties are usually good. In this party I got to play with a friend Wak from CK. He was on his COR and I just love BRD and COR in the same party. My swing speed is like crazy... I love it. In the party also was Goldie a Japanese player with the Relic Scythe, Apocalypse, and it does Catastrophe WS. It didn't look special, but I partied with Goldie before and the player is good and well a equipped. We got 4 merits out of it and it could have been more but its the weekend so only 4. I need one more for my 5th and final STR upgrade. Picture coming.

Week's Stuff!

Tuesday was sky farming and when I logged in I had some time before going to sky, so I decided to farm a bit for mermaid parts. When gathering time approached I headed to sky with hopes of getting some NMs because the last 2 farming days we got nothing. However I did not need to worry because it turned out to be a pretty good night for sky farming. Having heard that Despot popped 30mins before we got to sky we decided to camp SC. We got lucky with SC because it popped during our first detector pull. After SC we sent scouts to Faust and MG and when both arrived we found that both of them were up. We processed to killed MG first then escaped and killed Faust next. Just when were we about to call it a night we decided to camp Despot while I went back to change my job to RNG to wide scan for Zippy. But by the time I got back they killed Despot. And they already sent a scout to check Byakko island for Zippy. So I ran down to Genbu island to scan but a ls mate saw Zippy and we kill him and called it a night.

Wednesday was suppose to be Kirin, but with only 17 people we decided to pop minis instead. We popped 2 Seriyu first, and then killed BB for a complete Suzaku set then killed Suzaku. I tanked Suzaku with Khajit and it was fun. I'm working on a magic defense setup and I wanted to try it out but it needs more testing. We saved the Byakko set for later because it got late and because we heard TheFlock was at Byakko popping 5 of them.

Today was Assault and Sky (Kirin or farming). But I got a call from my brother asking if I wanted to come over and watch my niece so I said yes. I did Assault before going because I didn't want to keep the static held up. We did 3 missions of Sergeant before I left for my brother's house. The missions we did were: Stop the Bloodshed, Imperial Treasure Retrieval, and Supplies Recovery. The mission Stop the Bloodshed was just killing 35 chigoes in 30mins. It turned out harder though then we thought because 4 people in our party died, but we still won with a few mins left. Imperial Treasure Retrieval was just like a game of tag, or capture the flag with jewels. Which ever side, us or the enemy, recovers the most jewels wins. And finally Supplies Recovery was just killing imps for supplies they drop, but the trick is we have to recover more supplies then the immortals who are also killing imps. Overall it good day with 3 wins in Assault, and if all goes well on Monday we will be able to do SM promotion quest.

Sunday is Dyanmis so until then I'll be taking a break, maybe pop on to farm some. Anyways later till next post.

Silver run, Apocalypse Nigh, Dynamis Beaucedine, ToAU 29, Assault

Saturday morning I did a Silver run with Blabj's group. Was fun but we waited a bit because only 5 of the 12 people showed up. 2 people I heard transfered out of the server. Anyways, after that I logged off to start on the new Harry Potter Book.

Silver run, was pretty easy now with the update they did with CoP.

Sunday morning I did Apocalypse Nigh with Blabj's group, we did 4 tries and on the fourth we finally won. We basically killed the kid first really fast and wiped south and kill the guy. The fight was fun, but doing it 4 times was discoraging. However, through preserves and hard work we won in the end.

After AN I did Dynamis-Beaucedine in the afternoon. It has been a few months since I did it and nothing much has changed, only 1 AF2 droped and only like 1/4 of the money droped covers the 1m to enter the area. Still was fun with only 26 people or so. After that I logged to finish Book 7 of Harry Potter... >.>

I was getting touched...

Monday was a bit busy. At noon I had just logged on and I saw Doth shout for ToAU 29 and I said sure. Unable to find anyone else we decided to duo. First try we got it at 8% but knew we needed help because he spams his special move that goes throw shadows at 20%. However, Doth was able to get someone from his LS who needed it and decided to help us. Nicholette arrived on BLU and we entered in and tried again. This try he was going down faster, but I was unable to keep hate on me and we wiped on 25%. Third try Nicholette changed to BLM and we entered again. This run was much better and won the fight. We were going to try for 30 and 31 missions, but I had Assault so I had to say no.

Assault we did 2 Corporal missions, and one repeat for farming. After the runs I was able to get the Sergeant promotion quest. The missions we did were Building Bridges and Searat Salvation x2. Building Bridges was just running around and hitting switches while not getting captured. Building Bridges was an Escort mission. The farming was Lamia No.13, the one where I just watch. I did not fight anything, however, Skaw got to kill Myrrh... o.O Pictures later.

Nothing New

Nothing new to report, I had to take care of the baby on Thursday so I didn't play at all. Nor could I even if I tried because she is a hand full. It was still a fun day, just not in game, but I can never say no to my niece because she is so CUTE!

Friday I didn't do anything just relaxed, until I logged on for a merit party at night and got 2 merits out of it. Need 5 merits more to add an upgrade to STR. Saturday is a silver run, then I'll a break before work. Sunday is Dynamis if nothing comes up.

What's Been Going On.

I've been doing the same stuff this week: Monday Assault, Tuesday Sky farming, Wednesday Sky. However, I have been NM camping a bit more for some items I need. I've also been farming for items for quest reward equipment and force pops. I started off by farming for an air tank, which I was lucky and got pretty quickly on the second kill. Now I need to look up a few people to see if they can help me with the NM. I also been farming for mermaid parts for the ring. After those two I've been trying to figure out Eastern Shadow's window, and also I've been keeping an eye out for full and new moons for S.bow. Later today be Assault and Sky again, and I'll probably take a break until Dynamis on Sunday. Pictures later, until next post.

Dynamis Windurst

Sunday was Dynamis and we ran Windurst this time because our new people needed the win to enter Northlands. Overall it was a good run with only 30 people, but we did have a good mix of veterans and new players. The drops were NIN, WHMx2, and WAR AF2. I got the NIN AF2 putting me at 1/5 for NIN relic. I had a good time with the run, a good mix of humor and getting the win. Next Sunday is Beaucedine, and I hope NIN drops there too so I can move up the ladder in that zone. Pictures later.

Thursday and Friday

Thursday was busy now that I joined a Assault static and Sky LS. In Assault we did LC missions, earlier then I thought because I thought Galaika need a few more points before doing LC. But I was happy never the less because they were catching up to me. We did 3 runs of LC missions, first was Shanarha Grass Conservation in which you just kill like 20 rabbits in 30mins. Then we did Shooting Down the Baron where you kill a NM imp in 15mins, and then last was Demolition Duty where you escort an automaton to destroy 5 shipwrecks. On Monday if we win the next 2 LC missions they can do the C promotion quest and on Thursday we can do C missions. Or we could farm LC missions and on Thursday Nyle or whatever Galaika decides.

After Assault I ahead to sky, I was late because my static has the potential to go over into sky time. But I was asked to NIN because for Byakko they use NINs to main tank it. It was fun because in CK they usually let the PLDs tank everything, sometimes NINs tank but mostly it was the PLDs. It was my first but Khajit and Jussy helped me out, and I just went along with what they did. I learn more watching them and figuring out their styles in tanking then ever before because the kitty is dangerous. I got to tank 1 run and a half, the first pop I was with Jussy, then she died and Khajit came in. The second I sat out as back up, and the third time I was main with Khajit and around like 60% I started to DC. I swear I have bad timing when I DC. But when I got back on they killed it fine. The experience was fun, but the drops sucked because no b.haidates dropped out of 3 runs. Next week I believe we farm on Tuesday and Wednesday/Thursday depending on attendance is Kirin.

Friday was a free day but in short I just merited and relaxed before work. I got 4 merits total, 2 in a morning party and 2 in a afternoon party. Pictures later.

Wednesday Gods

Wednesday morning I did a quick merit party as and got 1merit before the party dispanded. I decided to farm/mine the rest of the time while waiting for sky later on today and the loot I got during that mining run was the best so far. I got about 300-350k in profit from that quick mining run. A few more and I'll be ready for SAM leveling.

Afternoon approached I did Gods with Rawr. We popped Seiryu twice, Genbu once, and Suzaku twice with 17-18 people. Its been awhile since I did Gods with only 1 alliance. Their game plan was similar to how CK ran it. And it went pretty smoothly overall, using winds helped us a lot, but their game play also helped. They all had fun and were good killing the guys quickly.

I was a NIN during those runs, and I mostly just meleed the first three runs because the PLDs tanked Seiryu and Genbu. However, Suzaku was tanked by NINs. The first pop was a bit hairy. The BLMs didn't have a stun order to stop the ag's, and I was catch off guard from the start since I rarely tanked when I was in CK. But what killed me and a few others was his 2hr and spamming FiregaIII x5... Stun gunner died so it turned bad, but they didn't panic and they rode it out. They second pop Jussy and I tanked it better, however, around 30% I crashed and had to restart my computer. But I did not need to worry because they had it done by the time I got back. They drops were nice and congratulations to those who go something.

Tomorrow is Byakko x3 or x4, and they say next week is Kirin. I also have Assault tomorrow so it will be a busy day.

Monday Assault Repeat and Tuesday Sky Farming

Monday was Assault night with Galaika's group. I joined them last week to catch up on Assault points for some items I like to get and also to rank up a bit. The group is pretty spread out rank wise, but we are close to LC missions. I think only Galaika needs a few more points before LC promotion quest. I'm like 10 points away to Sergeant promotion quest, but I still have to wait for the others to rank up faster. Anyways, we did 3 runs of Assault on Monday, 1 was Saving Private Ryaaf for the first time for some and the other 2 were for points on Troll Fugitives.

Today was Sky farming with Rawr, I'm trying out with them for a more casual end gaming in Sky since my schedule keeps changing. We popped Ulli fours times, popped Olla once and BB once. I believe Wednesday and Thursday we kill minis. I like to try for D.head, but since I just joined I'll wait until the next run with minis. I'll build points for the lot until then. The other items I like to try for are N.body and W.Legs, but they require more points so I'll have to wait.

Four autumnstones.

I've been farming more to save up on money for items I need for NIN and RNG. Also for gear for SAM which I'll be leveling soon. I've been fishing more too, its been fun but after awhile you get tired. I've been fishing to music to try and make it more entertaining... I'll post up pictures later.

Dynamis and 3 Merits

It's been the same old thing for me lately, meriting and farming. I've been saving gil for few things I still need for my NIN and RNG, and also money for gear for my next job to 75. So to that end I've been crafting and farming more. I also being meriting more so I can cap RNG and start a new fun job. Anyways, this morning I got a merit party that got me 2 merits, it was decent start for the day before Dynamis later on in the day.

Dynamis started a bit late because we were waiting for a leader or officer to show up and more members to showing up too. The turnout however for Bastok was better, about 31 people showed up. Much better then the Jeuno run where we barely had enough. In this run though, I died a few time, however, that's normal in Dynamis. The run went smoothly with a rain of 3 MNK AF2 at the start. Then later on a BST AF2, 3 PLD AF2, another MNK AF2, BRD AF2, and a RDM AF2.

Some issues with how lotting and money distribution is done was brought up before and after the run. I was glad because I had the same questions. Basically from what I understand is that your give a cut of gil from the coins and 100 coins that drop during that run. And you only get a split of the money made if you already have your AF2 from that zone, or it doesn't drop from that zone. If your AF2 does drop in the zone of the current run you don't get a split of the gil made. It sounded fine to me since I originally joined because I just wanted to get some AF2 pieces for my jobs, and also so I didn't have to pay for the hourglass.

After Dynamis I decided to seek to regain lost exp and merit more. The party setup seemed good, but it must have not been my night. I died two times costing me like 5k in limit points because every time I died I would become uncapped. If it weren't for those 2 deaths I would have gotten 2 merits, but the party only yielded 1 merit. Anyways I'll post pictures up later. Tomorrow is Assault hopefully and Tuesday farming. Night!

More on Thursday

Just a quick add to what I did on Thursday night. I join an Assault static for I'm hoping some ranking up and points. We only had 4 people on so we farmed and did 3 runs of Ilrusi Atoll's Golden Salvage. I believe they are all SP so I'll have to wait a bit for them to catch up to me.

I also did Sky with Rawr, but was late a bit because I had some personal stuff to do before farming. I got a merit during the farming and so my total now is 217.

More Meriting

Just a quick post of what I've been doing this week. Mostly I've been meriting in the mornings and I haven't been able to do much of anything else in game because of work and personal stuff. I have been helping out a friend move and it took much longer then I thought it would. However we are done finally and he is fishing up unpacking his things.

Monday I did an early merit party and got 2 merits out of it. It was a decent party but it was kinda slow going because the area was pack with 2 other parties. But it was nice because I had time to browse the web and play at the same time... I didn't go in game for Tuesday and Wednesday much because I was moving a that friend of mine. But today being the first day I got to spend more time in game I got 1 merit out of a morning party, which would have been 2 but I was careless and died during the first pull. So I'm a bit short of another merit. My total is now 216 merits and I'm currently working on meriting for Ranger and Combat Skills.

This was the merit party where the SAM had the relic Gkatana, Tachi: Kaiten, Player Vira.

Questing and Merits

Thursday, I mostly did quests since a lot of people were seeking for merit parties. I did Bastok quests, and I think I said this before on another post but like Sandy I did most of the quests in Bastok. All that's left are the quests that you need parties for, or requires lots of travel time. I also did Aht Urhgan quests, like the new quest where you find out more about the background on the serpent generals. I'll add pictures of quests later.

This morning I got a nice merit party. Looked like a nice setup with 2wars, nin, brd, cor, rdm. I got a total of 3 merits. Was fun to do some meriting again. Warriors still out dmg me! Probably need to look at my gear setup, I'm still missing some TP gear for it. I'll add pictures for merit party later too. I'll edit this if I get another merit party later tonight.

I got a night merit party and it was pretty good. Was surprised because there were a lot of people seeking and was about to quit for the night when I got a /tell from a THF asking for a party. I'm not picky about parties just as long as I get exp/limit points. Overall it was pretty good. I got a total of 2 merits in the party, so not a bad day with 5 merits total which brings my grand total to 213 merits gained. More to come!

Leveling and Back to Dynamis

I finished leveling RDM at 41, going to stop for now until I decide I want to pick it up again. I also did some leveling on my WHM just got one level to 39. On Sunday I did Dynamis with VanadielsFinest, seemed the best choose with my current schedule as it is. It started off slow with the gathering time with us being short. After awhile though more people start to show and we got ready to enter. I also saw a few people I knew in the LS probably because the time is around the time when they usually do their Dynamis. Dynamis is the same as I remembered it, and it reminded me why I carry reraise pins with me with 4 deaths in Jeuno. Still not the record of 10 deaths I had in Windy.

Red Mage Leveling

Well more leveling on my RDM has turned productive and is currently 39. Leveling turned out to be much quicker than I thought, I was lucky to get some good parties. I guess mages do get parties quicker. On Wednesday I got from 31 to 35 and Thursday I got from 36 to 39. I hope to get 40 tomorrow and stop, then maybe start on SAM or level WHM to 42 for some taxi service.

Nice Trip and Leveling RDM

Got back from my trip yesterday and the first thing I did was order some Chinese food because after a week of crappy food I needed something good. After that the second thing I did was play FFXI. Not sure if I said this before but leveling between 20-40 is hell these days. Not many people looking to level around these levels. However, still I mange to get some leveling done usually a 1 or 2 levels during my limited playtime. Right now my RDM is 29 hope to get it to 37 soon.

Anyways the trip was fun because I spent it with friends I haven't seen since I was in high school. Mostly what we did was drive around during the day and partying at a night club at night. I was kinda sad when it was over because mostly of them live out of state now. Overall was a great trip, but there is no place like home.

I hope to balance out some playtime with work, but it gets hard. However, I told some people that my brother plays my character more because he is getting bored with WoW. He was the first owner of Jediknight when FFXI first came out for PC. However he quit, and I took over after a few months when he bought the game. In fact I didn't like the character so I deleted it and remodeled him. But, he said he may join a LS so he can do more stuff than leveling. Not sure which kind of ls he wants to join but I suggested to stay with people I know in game. But, if you see Jediknight running around give a poke could be my brother or me.

lolWoW

Ok... so I flaked and I got hooked on WoW. I was wondering how the game play was so I did the 14 days free trial and got hooked. I have a 40 NE Druid and 40 NE Warrior, I was planning to level them more until I heard of the new updates to FFXI and a new expansion coming soon. I then decided to get back on FFXI to catch up on things. But before I can play more I have a to Canada then its playtime. However, there is another problem I got a job so I won't be playing my hardcore hours, but my brother is playing my characters mostly my mules so you may see Jediknight on but it could be my brother.

Anyways a quick update is my RDM is lvl 23 right now got about 3 lvls tonight. I'm going to try for 24 soon before turning in for the night. I also got to see an old friend online in FFXI land Jobe who is a Bigfun ls mate who was sucked into WoW. I also got caught up with a few friends I haven't see in a month when I was WoWing.
