Bah, Missing Updates...

I'm missing updates again! I guess it's because its almost the end of the year, but I'm becoming like Zeth and Neo on updating blogs. But it's December and it's one of my faviorite months in the year. I will try to update tomorrow, but it won't be much since I haven't logged in FFXI much. Last Week and Half of this Week

I missed out on updating most of last week since I'm getting lazy updating this blog every day.

Anyways, starting from last Wednesday we did Sea popping and Sky farming. I was apart of the Sea popping and we did Jailer of Faith. It took like 45 mins to find the ??? to pop it and I died like 3 times trying to scout for it. However, when we did find it we had to move quickly because it moves every 15 mins and it was only a couple of mins before it would move. So Aal popped it right after we finished killing adds and aggros, but the WHM were low on MP so it took time for us to get it down. When we did get it down though we got all drops but the torque. Next time hopefully we will get the torque to drop. For the rest of the night at Sea we farmed for chips since a few people had to leave. After Sea, I did Limbus Temenos North solo for NIN material. And again I would beat it with 10 mins left and the NIN material dropped this time! Next Wednesday I will do Apollyon SE which is much easier compared to Temenos North.

Last Thursday was Assault and we were suppose to do FL missions, but Galaika didn't show so we did Nyzul Isle boot runs again. We did 3 tags I believe and the first 2 tags we didn't get any boots to drop, but the 3rd run we got a boot to drop and it was Denali Gamashes! I lotted a high 900 and won the boots! So far since I joined the static we are like 3/25ish on floor 20 for boots. After Assault was Sea farming, but I was a bit late so I joined in the middle of the farming session.

Last Friday was Dynamis at Jeuno and it was the same old thing. We kill stuff, we laugh, I kite and hit stuff. I can't wait for Northlands since I got pretty much all I want from the Cities. AFs that dropped were RNG, BLM, RDM, WHM. I dc'd at the end of the run so I don't know if anything else dropped. Next Dynamis is at Windy.

Over last weekend I didn't do anything since I got my new xbox 360. I wanted to log in on Sunday morning for Limbus with Dreams, but I overslept again! I should really set my alarm clock.

Monday was Assault and again Galaika didn't show so we did 3 tags of Nyzul Isle for boots again. However, the usual happened, no boots dropped.

Today was Minis Genbu and Suzy. We did Suzy x2 and then Genbu x4. Sky Minis are getting boring for me really, I tanked Suzy and sat for Genbu since PLDs in Rawr tank it. Anyways, we got lots of drops and made some members happy. Tomorrow is the rest of the Minis we have.

Quick Update

I just wanted to do a quick update on what's been going on before I post a more detailed update on the past week later today. Anyways, to start this post I would like to talk about the hacked accounts that many of you may have heard about.

If you have been following news from qcdn or any other FFXI related site, there have been reports of players' accounts being hacked. This all happened around last week, and one player stated that a trojan or virus on ads in ffxiah.com and wiki.ffxiclopedia.org are how they were hacked. A friend of mine Jussy got his account hacked and moved to another server over last weekend. Currently he is trying to recover his character and hopefully some of his gear, and if he does not get his character back he will probably quit the game. Anyways, I just wanted to spread caution to people and be careful with where you browse. Also to update your computer and do regular scans to keep it clean. Try not to click any ads and keep to search engines.

Also, an update on my playtime. Currently I'm playing 360 since I got it last week, I've only logged in FFXI for events like Assault, Sky, Sea, Limbus, and Dynamis. Also with the Holiday season FFXI time will be limited more. I will probably play more FFXI soon since most of the games I got for the 360 I have beaten pretty quickly. Anyways, I'll try to do a more detailed update on things I did last week later today. Stay safe everyone.

Sunday Solo Limbus, Monday Assault, Tuesday Sky Farming

Sunday I did Limbus solo because I had do drop off my parents in the morning, making me miss Dream's run. So when I got back home I did Temenos North and got the 1st Floor done with 10 mins left. That's the fastest I did the floor so far, but it was pretty easy since neither Goblin did much DA or WS moves. Unfortunately I didn't get a NIN material again, but I did get a MNK material.

Monday was Assault and we did 2 past missions for Myrrh and 1 tag for Nyzul Isle. No boots dropped on Nyzul again, but we did win the 2 missions for Myrrh. Thursday I believe we will try to finish off the FL missions for Nyo and Galaika.

Tonight was Sky farming, but like last Tuesday most of the NMs died before our farm session started. Still we were able to collect a few ToDs on a few NMs, and until the windows opened we popped BB and Olla. After popping BB and Olla, the first window that reopened was MG and we killed her. Farming was over once we killed MG, but a few of us stayed over since we had Faust's ToD. So once 40 mins into Faust's window he popped and we killed him in a textbook fashion. To wrap up the night we check Zippy and he was up too and killed him as well. Not a bad night for overtime farming. Tomorrow is Sky farming for Sky only people, and Sea popping for the Sky/Sea people.

Update, Holiday Season Coming

With the new expansion released and the Holiday season here playtime on some of my events have been canceled. As you all know last week was Thanksgiving week so I didn't play much, or rather not many of my events happened because of cancellation. Like Assault, my Assault static hasn't done much the last few weeks because Myrrh was in the hospital sick and Galaika's busy real life schedule. Also with the expansion here its the new thing crazy all over again. It always happens when a new expansion is released. People are crazed and rush into the expansion to see what its all about. But its expected because new things are always fun to experience, and also its a fast way to earn gil. This is seen on ffxiah.com where prices for items have gone up and new items from the expansion are up on the AH for crazy amounts of gil. This is also expected though since people want the new things quickly, and they will pay insane amounts of money just to have it.

Anyways, with the expansion having been released for a week, I'm slowly getting back into my usual playtime. However, expect another slow down as Christmas and New Years approach. With that, this week has been like this so far.

Monday was suppose to be Assault, but Myrrh wasn't online, Skaw was busy with the new content, and Galaika was downloading the update. So Baja called it for the night and Assault was canceled. Hopefully we will hit Nyzul soon, but we need to finish FL missions for Nyo and Galaika first.

Tuesday was Sky farming and we got SC and a few water. I heard everything was killed before our farming session even started so I decided to skip the rest of the night and farm for some web before logging for the day.

Wednesday was Kirin and it took awhile for everyone to gather for it as usually. However when it did start it was the usual for us, a nice smooth run finishing around 45mins and the drops were N.body for Dar, Osode for Starks, and S.cloth for the bank.

Today was Sky/Sea farming for Rawr, but before that I was doing Assault first. We started 1 hour late because we were waiting for Myrrh and when he finally got there we did the Khimera FL mission for the first tag. It was going pretty well, until we hit 25% and it started to spam his special move. In the end we wiped, but still I believe we could have won if we were abit more careful. The second tag was a past mission someone needed, but we failed and so we tried again for a third tag and got it done. I hope the next Assault run is Nyzul Isle, but it will probably be FL missions for Galaika and Nyo.

After Assault I went up to Sky, and from what I heard over ls chat we got Despot before I got there. When I got to Sky the others were heading to SC and I joined to help. However I believe we missed SC because from what Miya saw the other two LS in the zone were gone when we got there so they must have killed SC. Still we got Despot and now have 3 sets of each mini. Tomorrow is Dynamis, but I can't go because I have to baby sit my baby niece. Saturday I'll be off the game because of my niece's 1st Birthday Party! Sunday is Limbus and I'll try to remember to wake up on time for it.

Week Off and Hope Everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving

I basically I got this week off because of the Thanksgiving holiday. However, I did do some things ingame this week. Tuesday was Sky farming but we only got SC and everthing else was dead so farming was cut short. Wednesday I took off because of shopping, I was trying to pick out a gift for my baby niece. Later that night though I tried to solo Temenos North, but ran out of time with the last trigger mob at 25%. But since that was my second time doing a solo run I learned a few things and I'm going to adjust. Next run I'll get it done hopefully and get a NIN material item. Thursday was Thanksgiving so I took that off, and Friday was suppose to be Dynamis, but was cancelled so I farmed all day for money. Next week should be back to my usual schedule online, so until then later all.

Old Assault Missions, Sea popping and Dynamis Jeuno

Thursday was Assault again, but we only did old runs so it was kinda boring. We did the fishing mission again for Nyo and won both. We tried the Divisor Ring mission, but with only 3 we lost. I hope we can do some Nyzul Isle soon again.

After Assault, which was quicker than usual, I went to Sea for popping while some other Rawr members went to Sky for farming. I'm not sure what the Sky people were able to get, but we at Sea did Fortitude x2 and also a Ix'Aern Monk. Celv's toon was able to get a Fortitude Torque, but was personally not here because he was at the Fan Fest. All in all though it was fun to do Sea again.

Currently my interest in FFXI are: Assault Nyzul Isle, Limbus, and Dynamis. I would like to do Salvage but I would need to quit my static and find a group to do it with. But right now I don't have funds to buy the material to upgrade the gear in Salvage, so its Nyzul Isle as my first propriety. I also plan to level PLD again as soon as possible, so I've been farming more for PLD gear.

Yesterday was Dynamis Jeuno and White, Hyre, and Dou were at the Fan Fest so others had to setup pts and organize stuff. However the run was smooth, except for the end were some RDMs were dead or asleep and we wiped cause one summon was awake and 2hr'd. This happened during the pull at AH, but we could have killed the entire pull, it was just bad luck for us. Still it was productive night with lots of coins for Zel, and 3 AF2 dropping (RDM, WAR, SAM). Next Friday is our first trip to Northlands, hope it goes well.

Assault Farming, Sky Farming, Kirin x2

Monday was Assault and we only had 4 people with Myrrh and Galaika still gone. So for 4 tags we did farming for points. Nothing special, just did some easy past missions for quick points. Hopefully Myrrh and Galaika will be back on Thursday so we can do some Nyzul Isle or FL missions. Something harder than those kiddy missions.

Tuesday was Sky farming and it turned out better than last Tuesday. We got Despot first right when farming started, then we got MG and Faust. We also popped my Diorite and spent the rest of the night farming for more Diorite since SC and Zippy were killed.

Today was Kirin x2 and I was finally up for N.body! Kirins these days are easy now with all the new members we have. Usually we get 25-30 people now, when I joined it was 18-24 with a few people dual boxing. Anyways the Kirins dropped easily and I got my N.body! Gid also got a N.body on the second Kirin and Blue Osode. Thursday is Assault and Sea, and I'm hoping we do Nzyul because I like some boots!

Assault on Thursday, Dynamis Bastok Friday, Limbus Sunday

Thursday was Assault again, but Galaika couldn't join us so Baja asked anyone in his LS if they wanted to come and do Nyzul Isle for boots. Unfortunately nothing dropped for us again, and we did 3 tags worth of it. I really do hope we get better drops next time so we can try to do other floors for those item pieces.

Friday was Dynamis at Bastok. I was confused a little since it was suppose to be Sandy but I guess we switched with Limitless since they were the first to post for Bastok. Anyways we did Bastok and cleared it pretty easily. Again we got some new recruits and hopefully they will stay for awhile. We still need more BLMs though but that's normal in Dynamis. Its hard finding BLMs that are not in a Dynamis LS already, or finding BLMs willing to do Dynamis since that job class dies probably the most in Dynamis.

Today in the morning was Limbus again with Dreams and still no NIN material for me. I'm only running with them one day a week so its expected, so I guess the only solution is to solo Limbus for NIN items on Wednesday or skip Sky on Wednesday and do Limbus with Dreams. But if I do skip Wednesday it will probably be after I get a N.body and D.head. Tomorrow is Assault again, but no idea if its FL missions for Galaika and Nyo or Nyzul Isle.

Assault Galaika's Return, Sky Farming, and Kirin x3

Monday was Assault again and this time Galaika was able to show up so we did past missions he needed. I would have liked to have done Nyzul Isle for boots, but points are also good for me. Thursday if Galaika is able to join we will be doing FL missions for him, or Nyzul Isle Assault again.

Tuesday was Sky farming and we didn't get much. I was in Sky a bit early so I scouted for NMs and saw MG killed and Faust wasn't up. No officers were on at start so we farmed at Despot, but then more people showed up so we split up and did Despot and SC. Unfortunately Despot popped for another LS, so one group did SC while another did farming for water. I was in the water group and we got one water and then decided to pop Olla while we were there. We were also able to kill MG during off time farming hours since we got ToD of her, so it wasn't a complete waste of a night.

Today we did Kirin x3 since we had more then 30 people for the night. We were only suppose to do 2 but with such a great attendance why not do another. Unfortunately the drops for the last two were not so great, but we still have another 3 sets of Kirin so hopefully we will get better drops next time. Anyways for the first Kirin we got N.body and S.cloth, second was D.ingot and O.ingot, and third was D.body and Pole. Tomorrow is Assault again and Sea popping if I get there in time, otherwise I may do Sky if the Sea people are too far in.

Assault Nyzul Isle and Suzaku x5, Dynamis Windurst, Rostrum Pumps Run, and Limbus

Thursday started off with Assault Nyzul Isle and again we invited someone from outside the static to join us on the run. We did 3 tags at Nyzul Isle, but the first tag we didn't make it to the boss with 5 mins left and we still needed 2 more floors. However we did win the last 2 tags but nothing dropped for us. Hopefully Monday we will get to do Nyzul Isle again for boots.

After Assault was Sky and since Assault usually takes longer then it is suppose to with waiting for people to show up, I was late again 1 hour for Sky. Anyways, I got to Sky and they killed Byakko x2, and I think both dropped B.panties. I was waiting at Suzaku with the other late people since again we had close to 30 people. Long story short we made quick work of Suzaku x5 and now have 6 Kirin sets. This Wednesday we will be doing Kirin x2 and Thursday will be our first Sea popping.

Friday was Dynamis at Windy and this time we had close to 30 people on this run. Mostly because of all the new recruits we got, but still we had the man power now. We did wipe once though with someone aggroin' the mobs at the house, but other then that we did well. We got the win and only 2 AF this time but Windy is like that with AF. Next Dynamis is at Sandy and I believe after that Jeuno.

Over the weekend was a few events. Saturday was the Rostrum Pumps run setup by Gene. The run went well with 12 people getting Rostrum Pumps including me. Javir tanked most of the time and I backed up, I died a few times but it was fun and it was worth the deaths to get everyone there new shoes. It took 6 hours with 22 people I think from first pop to 16 people on the last pop. Sunday was Limbus and we did Omega, it was my first Omega and it died pretty quickly. I wanted to farm for NIN material, but they put me in Omega alliance instead so after the fight I decided just to log to do some stuff around the house. Next Sunday I hope NIN material drop and I get a good lot.

Tuesday Popping NMs in Sky, Wednesday Seiryu x3 and Genbu x2

Tuesday was popping of Olla, Ulli, and BB for minis on Wednesday and Thursday. Also Niko recently started to play more and he joined us for that night. Though nothing else happen that night since I logged off right after Sky. However I can't wait for the killing of minis since there are still stuff I would like a chance to lot on.

Today Wednesday was Seiryu and Genbu. We started off with Seiryu and we had 25 people around start. When we started to pop the first Seiryu, we had 33 people or so in the LS. I was expecting 25 people at the most, but with recruiting and old members returning we broke the 30 members on a pop night for once. Anyways, we popped Seiryu x3 and I was up for attendance lot on D.head. The past Seiryu we did since I joined we got no D.head, I mean since I joined Rawr I don't believe there was a D.head that dropped. Today out of the 3 Seiryu 2 dropped a D.head and I was close to getting one. However I was beat by Chinis with a higher 900+ lot then me. Maybe next time I will get lucky and get one, but I would like to get my N.body before trying to point lot D.head. After Seiryu x3 was done, we did Genbu x2 and since we had 33 people in LS those who didn't need stuff from Genbu went to Sea to farm since we had so many people sitting out during Seiryu x3. What I wanted from Genbu was the shield and I was lucky enough to get one. I can't wait until next week when we do Kirin x2, but first we finish off the minis we have tomorrow.

Limbus and 6 Merits Late Night Sunday, Assault Monday

In the morning I did Limbus with Dreams, however Ultima was scheduled so only the extras and late comers were there to farm. So we did Apollyon farming with only 7 people and unfortunately we wiped on the first floor with fomors. We didn't have a sleeper so with 5 fomors linking on a bad pull we wiped. We didn't get to open chests for material items until the last floor with elements. Hopefully soon I can get some NIN material items since my NIN really needs an upgrade on the gloves.

At night I decided to seek for a merit party since the World Series was practically over. I was lucky enough to get a very good merit party pretty quickly. And out of the party I got about 6 merits in 3 hours, and it was fun since it was a real TP burn party. I was also able to party with Eor and his Ridill a hour later when I joined the party since he came to replace a member of the party. It turned out nice since I could again do a comparison on how I do against a Ridill WAR. However, needless to say I was destroyed by him with me only doing 573.36 in 1 hour and him with 709.18 in 1 hour. I would still like to try again with better equipment but that will be awhile since my NIN needs a few upgrades still.

Today was Assault and we did a PFC the first tag since Myrrh is taking a break from the game and Gala is still MIA. After that we did 2 tags of Nyzul Isle, which we did with 5 people as Baja able to get a LS mate to join and were lucky enough to get to the last floor with 7-10 mins to kill the boss. We got Askar Gambieras to drop during the 2nd tag and no drop on the 3rd tag. Hopefully we will do more Thursday since I would like a Denali Gamashes for my MNK and NIN, but Assault is generallly fun so either farming for points or nyzul is fine with me.
