First Time Doing VNMs | April 11 - 17

Lazy on posts, so quick summaries!

Sunday, April 11 was VNMs t3, but the ones we wanted to do were already killed so we only did one t3 and the rest were t1 and t2. After VNMs it was Salvage, (ninja edit!) did a Bhaf Rem run and I remember now 2 35s dropped (Ares hand and Morg feet), also got a 25 that someone wanted. Then at night it was Limbus, Apollyon run which was an easy win for chip.

Monday, April 12 was Einherjar t1, it was a good turnout and an easy win.

Tuesday April 13 was Dynamis, we were short so did Tavnazia. Was a short run.

Wednesday April 14 was sea farming, popped DRG, not sure if we got another one as I left early after the first DRG popped.

Thursday April 15 was Odin, I played WHM this time, was a hard fight but we won. It was a good win. V.Breastplate, H.body, P.hands, and M.feet dropped.

Friday April 16 was a free day I guess or I didn't log on.

Saturday April 17 was Dynamis Valkrum, was a good farming run with lots of drops which I don't remember all of them.

Merit Point 500+ | April 04 - April 10

Sorry! Late post, I'm getting busy so had to put this update off for a bit. Nothing much new, same old me farming, craft for money and attending events.

I did get my 500 merit point! Well technically I got it awhile ago, but I don't count ones I deleted...

April 04, Sunday was farming, what else! Not sure if I helped out with Salvage as I don't have SSs or remember. At night though it was Limbus, I joined a group did Apollyon.

April 05, Monday was Einherjar Tier 2. We lost this one as we got careless/unlucky with bones. Was a good try though.

April 06, Tuesday was Dynamis, but I couldn't attend as I had some stuff to do in RL.


April 07, Wednesday was VNM? I couldn't attend again as I had RL stuff again.

April 08, Thursday was Einherjar Tier 2, this time a win. After, at night was Limbus and it was Omega. Legs and Head dropped.

April 09, Friday was free day, I got WW to 72 and Fishing to 27. Mostly making money, fishing and crafting day.

April 10, Saturday was Dynamis Buburimu. Was a pretty good farming run, slow start I believe as we had to wait on people. After it was Salvage, was a good run. However we ran out of time on Boss with 1% left. I died and so did Sped, would have been close even if we did win to get drops. Still was a tough loss.

Post 200. Long Wait | March 27 - April 03

Sorry for the late post, busy with work and trying to do stuff in game makes updating this Blog hard to do. Was lazy with pictures too, so I'll have to remember to upload those for 2 posts now.

Anyhoo, nothing new really as I'm trying to, like I repeatedly said make gil. Going well so far, made 1 million gil in a week and a half. Wish I had more time on my hands, but I have to take it slow. Hopefully have decent equipment in a month for all my 75 jobs.

On to the weekly update.

Saturday, March 27 was Dynamis Xarcabard. We were short on people so we couldn't do a normal run, had to skip a few demons. We got a few drops though, I can't remember all, to name a few: WHM, RNG, THF, NIN... I believe a few more. Later that evening, Shag said he saw an unclaimed SW in ERonfaure. So we gathered and killed KA, Avalon drop'd and Mez got it.

Sunday, March 28 was KS99 again, we finished up or tried to finish up the KS99 we didn't get to do last time. These fights were better and smoother. I played better too as I fixed my macros and had better timing on curing. Still there are areas I need to work on, playing more on WHM will make it better. Drops were good for the poppers, money for them!

Later that night, I got to play with DT and his group to kill some NMs in La Vaule (S), was fun something new.

Monday, March 29 I wasn't on game much. When I was, it was for crafting stuff.

Tuesday, March 30 was Dynamis Buburimu, was a pretty good run. Drops and such.

Wednesday, March 31 was Sky, I help kill a few minis before helping out Drag with a Salvage run. Sky drops were decent, was fun to kill minis again and the Salvage run was great, playing MNK in Salvage was something I rarely got to do.

Thursday, April 01 was Odin. We didn't have people though at gathering time so it took awhile for setting up the parties. In the end we entered late and under 18 people.

Still Odin with 18 people is doable, just it will take a lot of work and quick thinking by everyone. Was a good fight, some unlucky breaks, but I didn't see it at the end as I dc'd with 7mins left. And I didn't reconnect until 1min was left, but by that time most of the RNGs and DD were dead and it was at 7%. I wish I didn't dc, would have been close if I had to chance to help with the final percents. Next time though.


Friday, April 02 was Kirinx4. I didn't get to fight in any of those Kirin but from what I heard the drops were nice, finally got a w.leg. Still have 2 more Kirin, probably do that next Sky rotation.

Saturday, April 03 was Dynamis Qufim, again a low turnout, we barely had 16 but we decided to run anyways. We had people enter and leave later on, but in the end we ran out of time, low turnouts on Saturday seem to have gotten worst since I left. Still, was fun to try, its just a waste of 500k if people don't come.

After Dynamis was Salvage, always fun to play MNK!

March 19 - 26 | A Week Back

Hello! My first week back was pretty normal.

I returned on March 16, but I didn't do much until the 18. In fact I've been farming mostly this week as I gave most of my gil and sell able equipment away. I except most of my time for the first month or 2 will be farming for gil a lot more then usual until I get enough start up money to craft cheap stuff so I can earn money more easily.

Thursday, March 18 was Einherjar Tier3. Was a hard fight with I believe 2 waves of 2 mob types each, and the boss had a wave of 1 mob type but it was the Khim version. Was a hard Tier3, but a very good win with about 30secs left.

Friday, March 19 I camped Megalobugard all night while reading up on what I've missed and whats new in FFXI. I have to say they added a lot while I was gone, but I was gone for like 9 months so I expected lots of change. Never expected a server merger though.

Saturday, March 20 was Dynamis Tavnazia, was suppose to be Qufim but we were low on numbers so we changed zones. I played WHM, so it was cumbersome working with macros again, still need to fight more to get back into rhythm on playing WHM as it requires a bit more work then melees.

Sunday, March 21 was JoLx2, I got to play RNG that time so it was an easy job for me. I had only minimal equip though so I only did average dmg, still we had enough dmg to take JoL down quickly enough. 2 Torques, Novio dropped.

Monday, March 22 was Maintenance/Merger Day, so servers were down all day/night.

Tuesday, March 23 was Dynamis Valkrum, I got to play WAR so it was easy to play and get used to stuff again.

Wednesday, March 24 I got to help out with Salvage, I did an Apprgo run as a MNK was fun to do Salvage again.

Thursday, March 25 was Einherjar Tier1 so was an easy win.

Friday, March 26 was KS99. I had help my brother look after his kids so I was late, missed a change to use an 99 orb but maybe next time.

Back, Doing Limited Play... Or I Hope

Welcome, I'm back!

Well, I'm not sure if I'll be playing as much as I've had been, but I'll do what I can. Currently relearning how to play and make macros. Also trying to make some money for basic equipment and start up money so I can earn money overtime as I no longer have a surplus of a few millions on me.

A few things changed, well a lot of things have ingame and in the LS. Several of the LS members I've had the pleasure of camping, dieing, and laughing with have for a year when I joined Perseverance have either retired, disappeared, or on break. But that's life, you never know what will happen.

The reason why I left was something of a personal nature. I guess it forced me to grow up even though I didn't want too. I only told a few people why I left and I apology to the rest I didn't tell. Needless to say because of that reason I stopped playing games of close to a year to earn some money to help out my family. However, I missed my online persona I guess. So here I'm playing and trying to forget things.

I was glad to see even though several people I knew weren't playing FFXI anymore, several others were still. Hopefully I can help them out when I can and my LS. My main goal is just to help out if I can, relax, and do the things I didn't get to finish when I was playing.

And I have a lot of catching up to do as I have Missions to catch up on, 2 add on expansions I missed out on, new JAs, equipment, NMs, server merger, etc... Also I heard soon the level cap is going to be raised to 99... Yeah it's going to be a fun new nice experience for me in game.

March 30 - 31, April 1- 5

March 30, Monday, was Einherjar Tier 2 which was a better performance then last run.

Tuesday was Dynamis Tavnazia, all that matters is RDM AF2 hat dropped, enough said.

April 1, Wednesday, was ZNMs again. Later at night it was Salvage.

Thursday was Einherjar Tier 1, again a low turnout, but it was Tier 1 so it was easy.

Friday was morning Salvage, later it was more ZNMs.

Saturday was Dynamis Windy. It started off well, but later it turned out rough. Windy is a big zone so you can't lowman the zone if people keep afking or leaving during the run. If we had 25+ people afking and leaving during the run wouldn't matter much, but this time we couldn't even pop the Boss. Anyways, next time, later in the day it was Salvage.

Sunday was morning Salvage, and then later it was Ouryu x3. After Ouryu it was another Salvage run. Later that night we got claim on Khim and we rushed there, started off fine until both tanks died and then we were in trouble. We lucked out and recovered and killed it, though no drop.
